There is a very solemn monument commemorating the fighters who sacrificed their lives in the region. At the mountain's foot, near the town of Thac Mo, are the varied vestiges of Ba Ra Prison, where numerous Vietnamese revolutionary fighters were detained by the French.

New rice Festival of the M'Nong

The M'Nong people in Binh Phuoc do not celebrate the traditional New Year's festival of the Viet (or Kinh) people, but they celebrate a New Rice Festival at the beginning of the harvesting season.(at the end of the seventh and the beginning of the eighth lunar months). The M'Nong often prepare for this festival when they start sowing rice and then wait for ripening rice.
New Rice Festival is held at mountain fields, tray of rice is offered to Heaven, after that every one pick a handful of rice and put in baskets, called "inviting rice to home". Guests give the hosts best wishes, and then the hosts invite every one cluster round cooking fire to eat and drink. When finish eating and drinking, people start playing songs and dancing till very late at night, sometimes untill tomorrow morning.
