Bắc Kạn,
occasionally spelled Bac Can , is a mountainous province, and has considerable natural resources (particularly in mining and forestry).
Bac Kan has a diversified and complicated topography with many rivers and springs.
Being
the residence of many ethnic groups, the culture of Bac Can bears
many features and has many traditional festivals (Ba Be Lakes
Spring Festival; Thach Long Pagoda Festival) with many traditional
games. Bac Can is also a mountainous province that has many
charming natural views. Bac Kan a place of great potential for
tourism with Ba Be Lake, one of the most beautiful spots in

Bac Kan Climate
There are two distinct seasons:
winter is from October to April of the following year and summer from April to September.
Ba Be Lakes - Bac Kan Tourist Spot
Ba Be Lakes, 230km from Hanoi and 80km to the Northwest of Bac Kan town. "Ba Be" means "three big lakes". It's actually
three smaller lakes joined together – Pe Lam, Pe Lu and Pe Leng. Ba Be Lakes area has much to offer, including waterfalls, rivers, valleys, lakes, and caves all set amidst picturesque landscapes. The Lake Zone, 8km long and 3km wide, set in a picturesque national park and contain 3 lakes surrounded by vertical rock walls, from which many currents fall down between many kinds of creepers cling, and a wild forest where many species of birds abound. Visitors will have an unforgettable stay in the mountains by the lakes, enjoying sightseeing boat trips, hikes, and water sports. From Ba Be, tourists can visit other neighboring scenic attractions such as Dau Dang Fall, Puong Cave, and Tien Pond. |
